They say life is a box of chocolates - you never know what you are getting next. How true. Sometimes you reach in there and get a piece of chocolate you have always wanted. Dark. Delicate. Creamy. Interiors filled with fudge. Crunchy exteriors. Perfect. And then the thought hits you hard at the back of your head. This bliss is temporary. In a few moments, this very piece of chocolate that you hold between your thumb and your index finger is going to be reduced to the molecular state in your alimentary canal. It is no longer going to be in that same perfect condition you saw it in a while back. And then with a heavy but hopeful heart you reach into the box and draw another piece. You examine it and it stares back. This is not what you hoped for. This is far from perfection. Not the kind you are used to. A foreign flavour. A foreign appearance. A foreign colour. But somehow you place it on your tongue grudgingly and consume it. This is indeed very comparable to life, don't you think so? We do not always get what we desire in life. Joyous moments come and go and the same goes for bad times. Everything is balanced out. In layman terms, you win some and you lose some. But the only way you can relish life is accept everything thrown at you without losing your calm. Enjoy every bit of chocolate within that box. =)
